TrustDigest AI Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
Account information
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive and process information from the identity provider, which may include your account identifier, email address, name, profile image, and an identity token. We use this to authenticate requests, manage quota, and associate subscription status.
RSS feeds, articles, summaries, and verification activity
You may provide RSS feed URLs and article URLs. When you ask TrustDigest AI to summarize or verify an article, the article title and URL are sent to our backend. The backend may retrieve article content and send the title, URL, extracted article text, or generated claims to AI services to produce summaries, credibility analysis, bias analysis, and source lists.
Subscriptions and purchases
Subscription purchase and entitlement status is processed by Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat. We use your app account identifier with RevenueCat to manage premium access and sync subscription status.
Advertising and device identifiers
The app uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for native and rewarded ads. The ads SDK may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app interaction data, approximate location derived from network information, diagnostics, and other data described by Google for ad delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, and compliance.
Local app data
The app stores some information on your device, such as saved articles, summaries, verifications, RSS feeds, collections, recent searches, theme settings, onboarding state, quota display state, and authentication data. Server-side deletion requests do not remove local app data from your device. You can delete local data in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

3. Third-Party Services
TrustDigest AI uses the following services as part of app operation:
- Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication.
- Google Gemini, Google Search grounding, and URL context tools for AI summaries and verification.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for ads and rewarded ad access.
- RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, and Apple subscriptions for subscription management.
- External RSS feeds and article websites that are fetched when users provide feed or article URLs.
- Google Cloud services, including Cloud Run, Redis-compatible cache infrastructure, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
4. Sharing
We share information with service providers as needed to provide the app. For example, article URLs and content may be sent to Google AI services for summarization and verification; subscription identifiers may be sent to RevenueCat; and advertising-related data may be collected by Google Mobile Ads. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
- Daily quota counters are retained until their normal expiration, generally through the end of the day, to prevent quota abuse.
- Subscription-linked records, including backend premium status and RevenueCat customer records, are retained until the end of the current subscription period so paid access and billing records remain consistent.
- Cached article summaries and verification results may be retained temporarily by article URL to improve performance and reduce duplicate AI processing.
- Cloud logs may retain operational and deletion-request audit events according to Google Cloud logging retention settings.
- Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
6. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of specific account-linked TrustDigest AI data at /data-deletion. You can request full account deletion at /account-deletion. Account deletion is only completed when there is no active subscription. Some data is retained for a limited period as described above, including quota counters until the end of the day and subscription-linked records until the current paid period ends. Data stored locally on your device is not removed by a server-side deletion request.
AdMob/Google advertising data is controlled by Google. TrustDigest AI does not store your advertising ID in a way that lets this deletion form automatically delete Google-controlled ad records. You can manage Google ad personalization and device advertising settings through Google and your device settings.
7. Security
We use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit. Authentication tokens are verified before protected backend requests are accepted. No system can guarantee perfect security, but we limit backend account storage and use third-party providers for authentication, payments, ads, and AI processing.
8. Children
TrustDigest AI is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
